Whinhill Golf Club

The Greenock Whinhill Golf Course was designed in 1911 by Mr. William Fernie, a celebrated professional golfer from Troon.
The course offers a challenge to golfers of all abilities and visitors can be assured of a warm welcome. The course measures 5,504 yards and has a par of 68.
It is a moorland course, quite hilly, but for all that gradual climb. The lowest point is 550 feet above sea level and the highest 625 fee.
Overlooking the Firth of Clyde, the Greenock Whinhill Golf Course offers panoramic views of the Argyll Hills and Ben Lomond. The course was once farmland, gifted to the council by Sir Hugh Shaw Stewart.
