Paisley - Things to do

Nowadays Paisley is a thriving shopping centre. Good pubs abound, from national chains to the lovely art nouveau snugs of the Bull Inn. Likewise good eating places range from Indian, Chinese and Italian to gourmet Scottish restaurants and excellent coffee shops.
The arts scene is well served by Paisley Arts Centre with its wide ranging programme including leading edge contemporary dance, alternative comedy, children’s puppet shows, film, drama and jazz.
Swimmers will enjoy the Lagoon Leisure Centre. It has a fun pool with beach, waves, and a flume, as well as a children’s training pool, plus a new dry sports hall. Other leisure facilities include, on the edge of town, the Phoenix Leisure Park which hosts a fourteen screen cinema and a wide range of well known good value eating places.

Around 4 miles from Paisley lies Renfrew Riverside, a huge new complex on the banks of the Clyde, with Braehead Centre for shopping, Clydebuilt Maritime Museum, and Xscape with its snow slope for all year skiing and snow-boarding, climbing wall, aerial assault course, bowling, cinemas, food and shopping.
