Howwood
Howwood lies just off the A737 road from Paisley to Irvine. It is an attractive residential village, with a primary school, village hall, Church of Scotland and Roman Catholic parish churches, local shops and pubs. On the outskirts of the village are Bowfield Hotel and Country Club, Mid Gavin Equestrian Centre, Greenacres Curling Club and Midton Bowling Club.
The local Wildlife and Woodlands group has developed a number of walks around the village which can be downloaded from the Howwood Community website. These link into the Semple Trail network and to National Cycle Route 7 and explore the countryside around the village.
